Tower of God will be getting a game adaptation from Netmarble, dubbed Tower of God: New World. The title was announced at their Netmarble Together with Press event, alongside a multitude of projects they have in the pipeline.
All we know about Tower of God: New World right now is that it will be a new collectible RPG featuring the characters of the titular series, besides its initial key visual art. Considering Netmarble’s portfolio, we can probably expect it to be a mobile title.
Clearly the series is popular enough to warrant at least two game adaptations, as NGEL Games is also developing Tower of God M / Tower of God M: Great Journey, a mobile release that has already begun accepting pre-registrations in Korea. No release date is known for NGEL Games’ title at time of writing.
It would seem that fans could be spoilt for choice whenever either of these games come out. Of course, at this juncture, we can’t be sure if either will be getting a simultaneous global release. Both companies are not strangers to worldwide launches, so there is some hope. In any case, there’s not much else to do but wait till more concrete news gets announced.
