Tower of Fantasy getting Traditional Chinese version

Tower of Fantasy will be expanding with a Traditional Chinese version, with a website established and Facebook page open. You can check out the promotional video for the server below:

It’s perhaps reassuring that Tower of Fantasy appears to be doing well enough to open up a Traditional Chinese server under IWPlay, though a global version still appears uncertain. You might have seen comments saying that the global version release has been cancelled, though there is still seems to be interest enough that people may yet be willing to wait for it.

The game itself has found itself mired in a number of “controversies”: fans finding use of Honkai Impact 3rd assets in their promotional video, and stealing Genshin Impact reviews just to name but two. That’s not even mentioning how players had concerns over unaddressed bugs and supposed identity crisis in the lead up to its initial launch, or their alleged “rushed” launch.

Whatever the case, Tower of Fantasy still stands to be a Genshin Impact competitor from basic elements alone, boasting a 3D, immersive, open world game with a sci-fi theme in combination with “de-labeled characterization, film and television-grade motion capture, high-freedom world exploration”, interactive puzzles and fast combat action. It may have missed the boat on a truly global scale, but let’s see how it goes.
