Touken Ranbu Musou revealed its release date at the Japanese Nintendo Direct showcase, appearing to indicate that no localization is in the works as of yet. Touken Ranbu Musou will release on 17 February 2022, priced at 8778 yen. Some gameplay can be seen below:
Characters besides the announced units will also be appearing, though it’s not specified if the game has DLC planned to make the rest of them playable. Besides the first unit, the other units captains and their squad members are:

- Ichigo Hitofuri
- Namazuo Toushirou
- Third Unit Captain: Heshikiri Hasebe
- Tomoegata Naginata
- Yagen Toushirou

- Fifth Unit Captain: Yamanbagiri Kunihiro

A “special collection box” will include a drama CD, a design art book and a Nintento Switch case, priced at 17,028 yen.
We’ll see if it ever makes its way to international audiences, considering how long the browser localization took.
UPDATE 24 SEPTEMBER, 19:36: Koei Tecmo has confirmed a digital release in North America, available 24 May 2022. The website indicates there’s potentially an eventual physical release as well. The next gameplay showcase will be on 2 October 2021, 23:00 JST.
