Clouded Leopard Entertainment has announced that Marisa of Liartop Mountain, an officially licensed Touhou Project RPG, will release on Nintendo Switch in Asian markets on September 19, 2025. The game, developed by Alliance Arts Inc., will launch simultaneously with its Japanese counterpart. Players can choose between three versions of the game: the standard edition, a lavish “Grimoire Magus Box” limited physical edition, or a Digital Deluxe Edition with additional content.

The Grimoire Magus Box includes the base game, an illustrated box, the Gensokyo Grimoire Illustration Board detailing the game’s world and story, an original soundtrack CD, acrylic stand and stickers featuring Scarlet Devil Mansion characters (Remilia, Flandre, Sakuya, and Patchouli), and a Digital Artworks & Sound Player with over 50 tracks. First-print buyers will also receive exclusive Reimu and Marisa stickers.
The Digital Deluxe Edition bundles the base game with the RD-Sounds Another BGM Pack DLC, allowing players to swap the background music with signature tracks, plus the Digital Artworks & Sound Player.

Marisa of Liartop Mountain follows Reimu as she searches for the mysteriously vanished Marisa. Her quest leads her into a strange book containing bizarre worlds like libraries, deserts, and circuses, with each realm featuring something resembling Marisa. Throughout the adventure, Remilia, Flandre, Sakuya, and Patchouli provide commentary from outside the book, offering their perspectives as the story unfolds.

The game presents a unique storybook-style RPG experience where players guide Reimu through surreal landscapes while deciding whether to heed the Scarlet Devil Mansion residents’ advice or trust their own instincts to find the real Marisa and bring her home.
