Developed by Quatro A and published by Aniplex Inc, the fan-made board game on mobile titled Touhou Cannonball ends its services on 14 October.
The game was initially announced at Autumn Reitasai 5, which was the annual Hakurei Shrine Grand Festival convention which featured Touhou-only projects and took place every Spring in Tokyo International Exhibition Center from the year 2008 onward.
Touhou Cannonball Gameplay Overview
Touhou Cannonball is a virtual board game mainly for mobile devices where it features Touhou Project characters including Reimu Hakurei and Marisa Kirisame, battling one another atop a board with the goal being to collect the most CB (Cannonball).
Players will be able to roll the dice in order to move across the Gensokyo-set board. The game’s board game mode is accompanied by a visual novel-style story mode that is animated using Live2D.

Over at their official Touhou Cannonball Twitter account, they have made an announcement of thanking the fan’s for their support as well as apologizing for the termination of the game and its services which will be conducted in the server maintenance on 14 October at 14:00.
The game was released on 1 October 2019, having a run-time of nearly one year and had over 100k downloads at the time of release.
