Tougen Anki Anime Gets RPG Adaptation For Mobile And PC

Korean based company Com2uS recently unveiled a new fantasy RPG at Anime Japan 2025 in Tokyo. The current game in development is centered on the story of Tougen Anki which will simultaneously also have an anime adaptation under the same title. The aim of this project is to recreate a faithful adaptation similarly to the anime, which will feature every gruesome detail down to the bone as best as possible.

The Tougen Anki anime is scheduled to release around the second half of 2025 near July. The series will capture the author, Yura Urushibara’s original storyline while also combining detailed animation and heartfelt voice acting from a diverse cast to tell the tale of the descendants of the Oni and Momotaro.

While partnering up with G-Holdings, Com2uS have shared exclusive glimpses of the Tougen Anki game at Anime Japan, which included a 40-second teaser and in-development screenshots. As it is centered as a roleplaying game, Tougen Anki focuses on the nuance and tone of what the original story aims to show while also sticking to its source material to combine a unique gameplay system designed to fit into the universe of the anime and intrigue fans and newcomers.

As Com2uS is a company that excels in advanced 3D modeling and the use of the latest development tools, the company promised a stylized RPG that will capture the anime’s art direction as closely as possible. The title of the game is still under development for both mobile and PC, in doing so also hoping to attract a wider audience.

While details regarding gameplay still remain under wraps, Com2uS stated that the Tougen Anki game will not only kept close to the storyline of the anime but will also include its own original content in order to deepen the player experience outside of the original narrative. This will then create authenticity within the game rather than it simply being another faithful adaptation on its own.

Regarding concerns of a global expansion, Com2uS is still in the process of Tougen Anki’s development. But there may be some potential of a global launch in the near future.
