Tokyo Necro Suicide Mission has announced its end of service in Japan. Servers will be sunset on 30 June 2022, 12:00 JST. Fortunately for fans, there will be a digital archive that will include the story, database information, music and the rest of it to be available on PC.
It would appear it’s a bit too late for newer players to get access to the archive for free, as you would have needed to complete the game’s tutorial by 27 May 2022. At least through the 4gamer post, there’s no clarification when the archive will be made available on PC or if any interested people will be charged for its eventual release.
With this end of service announcement, Tokyo Necro Suicide Mission managed to run for about 3 years before this unfortunate demise. The game itself is a mobile spin-off of Tokyo Necro, a Nitroplus title on PC. It’s an SRPG that saw multiple delays and beta tests before finally launching in 2019. Set in future Tokyo, players take on the role of a Living Dead Stalker who is tasked with hunting down the undead controlled by necromancers.
At the very least, unlike many other mobile titles before it, there will be an associated archive that not many developers have been able to do, so it will live on in some way.
