The Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA) has officially announced Tokyo Game Show 2025 (TGS2025), scheduled to take place at Makuhari Messe in Chiba from September 25-28, 2025. The event will have a hybrid format, combining traditional on-site activities with online programming.
The first two days (September 25-26) will be dedicated to business professionals, running from 10:00 to 17:00, while the public days will follow on September 27-28, with doors opening at 9:30. The event is expected to draw approximately 250,000 attendees across its four-day run.

Under the theme “Unlimited, Neverending Playground,” TGS2025 aims to create a space where games, creators, and players worldwide can connect and shape the future of gaming together. The organizers have announced several key improvements, including optimized space utilization to accommodate more exhibitors, wider aisles for better crowd management, and enhanced business matching services focused on the Asian gaming market.
In a notable change, the Japan Game Awards ceremony will no longer be held during TGS itself. Instead, it will take place at Iino Hall in Tokyo on September 23, two days before the show begins, marking a significant upgrade to the awards presentation.
Moreover, ticket sales for the public days will begin in mid-July, followed by business day tickets in mid-August. The exhibition is planning to accommodate 2,500 booths across Makuhari Messe’s Exhibition Halls 1-11, International Conference Hall, and Event Hall.
