Tokyo Game Show is back this September! Tokyo Game Show 2019 (TGS 2019) will be held for 4 days from September 12 to September 15 at Makuhari Messe. This year’s theme is “One World, Infinite Joy”. Under this theme, the event aims to communicate the true value and possibility of games that a new level of experience and excitement shared among people.
Started in 1996, Tokyo Game Show has become one of the world’s biggest game show with over 600 businesses and organizations exhibiting each year since 2016 and visitors exceeding 250,000 for 6 years in a row since 2013. Last year’s TGS 2018 was the biggest ever in its history, with 668 companies and organizations from 41 countries and regions, as well as 298,690 visitors taking part in the exhibition.
With expansion on internet video streaming platform and contents, fans who can’t make it to the venue can also catch TGS 2019 live via various live streams. This year’s event is planning to hold championships in various genres at the giant “e-Sports X (Cross)” stage too. We will get more details on it this April.
