A content update has been gone live on MapleStory M, providing players with a slew of new additions for players, primarily the three new explorer classes.
Various enhancements have also been introduced for this free-to-play MMORPG for the Android and iOS platforms, but for now let’s touch on the classes. Kicking things off is Shadower, a thief class who deals close-combat damage with a dagger. Then we get the Hero warrior class, whose specialities include being able to wield two-handed swords and axes as main weapons as primary weapons. Lastly, the Arch Mage is self-explanatory and uses Ice and Lightning magic to destroy enemies.
A new equipment enhancement system has been introduced as well int he new update. By extracting Emblem Traces from Elite items, you will be able to subsequently use these essences to elevate the abilities of Emblems much further. The Exaltation system allows players to use Elite equipment that is identical to the base equipment or utilise Exaltation Stones as material during Exaltation.
To celebrate the upcoming Lunar New Year, MapleStory M will be introducing a number of class growth support events, whereby logging in will see players rewarded with various items and boosters that serve to bolster the new classes.
Because the developer is feeling extra generous, players who come online between 31 January 2019 and 14 February 2019 will be rewarded with tickets that drop from monsters, which can then be used to spin the Lucky Wonder Wheel for all sorts of goodies. The Detective Kemdi Event which runs during the same period will see players being able to use Code Hints to decode the safety box password and receive special rewards. During the Lunar New Year period itself, players are given the Golden Pig Hat accessory, Damage Skin and special Pet Package.
