NHK has announced that there will be three new episodes of the live-action series Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan premiering from December 27th to December 29th at 22:00 JST.
The series is a live-action adaptation of the manga of the same name by Hirohiko Araki, which itself is a spin-off from his popular manga series Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure.
Here is the new key visual that was revealed alongside the announcement:
The live-action Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan series first premiered at the end of last year with a three-episode mini-series. The plot is about the manga author Rohan Kishibe, first seen as the main character in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 4 Diamonds are Unbreakable, as he solves supernatural mysteries.
The role of Rohan will be reprised by Issei Takahashi (Whisperer of The Heart, March Comes Like a Lion) from the first three episodes. Marie Iitoyo (Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day, City Hunter: Shinjuku Private Eyes) will also return as Rhoan’s editor Kyoka Izumi. The series is being directed by Kazutaka Watanabe who previously worked on the Only Yesterday live-action sequel.
Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan has previously been adapted into an anime short series that has since been available on Netflix.
The anime adaptation of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 6: Stone Ocean will also be premiering this December on Netflix.
