Three Kingdoms Blade, after having initially launched in Korea on 13 January 2017, will soon be available in Japan come the first quarter of 2021. The game actually launched in the Southeast Asian region, but it appears it is no longer active.
For the unfamiliar, as the name suggests, the game is based on the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, developed by Action Square. It is made with the Unreal 4 engine, and is an action RPG that plays out similarly to Dynasty Warriors. It has additional features, namely some base building as well as the ability to go forth and pillage another player’s base. If you hadn’t tried its home release, you will soon have the option to play from 30 over characters in the Japan release of Three Kingdoms Blade.
The game is incredibly popular in its home country of Korea, where it is preparing to release a massive update in the future, which will feature:
- A new battlefield
- Balance adjustments
- In-built reroll feature
- A combat system refresh from skills to visuals
- PvP changes
- Updated graphics
If you’d rather try out the new updates – dubbed Three Kingdoms Blade 2.0 – then you’ll want to play the original Korean version. Maybe another publisher will pick up the game for the other regions?
