Baccarat has announced a special collaboration with The Pokemon Company, bringing exclusive and limited crystal items featuring Pikachu as well as a Pokeball.
These items will be sold in extremely limited quantity, and will only be available from Baccarat stores in Tokyo (Marunouchi), Paris, New York, London, Hong Kong, and Singapore
Headlining this is the Baccarat Pokemon Collection Pikachu by fragment design, which sees the iconic yellow mascot rendered in a polyhedral shape and looking like it should be in a museum.
It costs 3.08 million yen, (RM113,091.23). and only 25 of it are being produced. While it looks like a small paperweight, don’t be fooled- it measures 30cm in height and weighs a hefty 8.3 kilograms.
That isn’t the only piece of avant garde Pokemon merch coming to the collection, however. They’ve also announced two more crystal accessories, including a smoother Pikachu at half the size for 55,000 yen (RM2019.49) as well as a crystal Pokeball for 49,500 yen (MYR1817.54).
These are part of the ongoing celebration 25th anniversary for Pokemon, which has really run a full course of collaborating with celebrities like Katy Perry to even special Pokemon cards for the TCG.
Despite its age Pokemon continues to grow strong, with the release of Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl this month as well as Legends: Arceus next year.
