The Witcher, which was originally released in 2007, takes place after the events of the novel series which bears the same name. The story follows Geralt of Rivia, a legendary monster slayer caught in a web of intrigue woven by forces vying for control of the world.
If you are interested in the game, why not try out the original, The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director’s Cut available now on Steam.
The original Witcher is also adapted into a live action series which you can watch on Netflix along with an animated origin story film; The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf.
Incidentally, they will also be having a free next gen update for players that own The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt next month.
