The Witcher: Monster Slayer soft-launched in Australia earlier today for Android. Australians will get to try their hand at monster slaying.
The game’s official Twitter account announced the availability of the game in said country with the following tweet:
While Cyberpunk 2077 might have been a tragedy for CD Projekt Red, the studio is not developing this mobile spin-off of its The Witcher franchise. Instead, CDPR’s subsidiary, Spokko is handling the development of the game. Chronologically, The Witcher: Monster Slayer takes place before The Witcher games.
Here is what the game offers:
TRACK YOUR TARGETS — Use real-time weather conditions, time of day, and all your witcher senses to hunt monsters living around you.
EXPLORE ADVANCED AUGMENTED REALITY — Make the dark fantasy world of The Witcher your reality with AR features that encourage exploration and change your perception of places you thought you knew.
BECOME A WITCHER — Experience deep, story-driven quests that propel you through epic adventures inspired by The Witcher series.
PUT ENEMIES TO THE SWORD — Once you’ve prepared, take on gigantic, console-quality monsters in RPG inspired first-person combat.
GATHER TROPHIES FROM FALLEN FOES — Defeat dozens of different beasts and grow a collection worthy of a true monster slayer.
While The Witcher: Monster Slayer might be region locked to Android devices in Australia, Malaysians who own iOS devices can give the game a shot. It is downloadable in the Malaysian, Singaporean and Filipino App Store.
