Tsukihime: A Piece of Blue Glass Moon, a remake of the original Tsukihime is confirmed to be getting an English localization at Anime Expo 2023.
The Type-Moon visual novel is set to be released in English in 2024 for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
Tsukihime tells the story of Shiki Tohno, a sickly young man with the ability to see “lines of death” across all things which when cut will instantly slice them in two. One day when walking back from school he encounters a strange blond woman and feels a sudden urge to murder her, only for her to be alive again the next day. It turns out she’s a vampire named Acruied Brunstud who now enlists Shiki to help her track down another vampire that is causing a number of killings across the city.
A Piece of Blue Glass Moon is a remake of the 2000 visual novel Tsukihime. This was the first visual novel written by Kinoko Nasu, who would go on to write Fate/Stay Night.
It will be the second of Nasu’s visual novels to be officially localized into English following Witch on The Holy Night which was released in English last year for Switch and PS4. With that being said, each visual novel has received prior localisations via fan translations from groups like Mirror Moon and Tsukihimates.
The official English language version of Tsukihime: A Piece of Blue Glass Moon will launch for Switch and PS4 in 2024.
