Netmarble has announced that the launch of the upcoming The Seven Deadly Sins mobile game will be delayed. They moved the release date to Spring 2019.
We first wrote about the game in May 2018. Unfortunately, the latest game will launch anytime soon. The game’s original estimated launch was this year. However, developers Netmarble wanted more time to work on the project hence the delay. Titled The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross of Light and Darkness, the game’s highlight is the high quality 3D model of the series characters. The game features intense battles using a card system. Unfortunately, not much information exists on the game itself.
The Seven Deadly Sins series was created by Nakaba Suzuku. The story focuses on Elizabeth, a princess from a kingdom which collapsed following a coup by the Holy Knights.. She leaves the kingdom in order to find The Seven Deadly Sins, a group of knights previously wronged by the kingdom. Despite assurances of the knights’ deaths by the Holy Knights, she managed to find their leader Meliodas.
The franchise has spawned numerous games in Japan and some received welcome attention overseas.. The most recent release was The Seven Deadly Sins: Knights of Brittania for the Playstation 4. It received lukewarm critical and commercial success, showing that the franchise can succeed in gaming.
