The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 4 Announced

Kadokawa has just announced the production of season 4 of The Rising of the Shield Hero, along with a key visual of the upcoming series.

From the key visual of the fourth season of The Rising of the Shield Hero, we are greeted with a rather bleak artwork, showcasing a barren land with thunderclouds, and a sole dragon-looking beast flying in the distance.

The announcement of the upcoming season did not reveal the exact release date as to when it will premiere, so fans will need to wait a while longer for more information to drop.

For those who are unfamiliar with the series, The Rising of the Shield Hero is a Japanese light novel series written by Aneko Yusagi and illustrated by Minami Seira.

The story follows the main protagonist Naofumi Iwatani who one day was summoned into a fantasy world along with three other Japanese men to become the world’s Cardinal Heroes, where each of them receiving their own legendary equipment.

While the other heroes are fully supported by the kingdom, Naofumi’s luck took a turn for the worse as his sole companion, revealed to be the kingdom’s princess, betrays him and steals all his belongings, leaving Naofumi to his own devices.
