The Rising of the Shield Hero RERISE announced

The Rising of the Shield Hero will be getting a new mobile title, The Rising of the Shield Hero RERISE. There is presently little to no information regarding the game besides the art, but there you have it. It does have a barebones website – you can check it out here – with nothing on the game systems, opening movie or the full line up of characters who will be appearing, so check back soon. Curiously, it seems to have already begun revealing pre-registration rewards starting at 10,000 to 50,000, 100,000, 200,000, and finally 300,000.

The second season of the anime will be coming out 2021, and considering the timing of the game announcement, we probably shouldn’t expect the game this year either. There is another mobile game for Shield Hero besides the newly announced RERISE, but that one is currently only China exclusive, so who knows when that would ever make it out of the country.

You can check out the attached Twitter account for the game for more news to come. We should be able to expect that it’s a gacha game as usual, with an RPG surely being the most fitting genre for it. Feel free to speculate on it as you wait for season 2 anime news or enjoy the other games the series has a collaboration with.
