The highly anticipated Korean film The Prophet: Omniscient Reader (also known as Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint) has released its first teaser trailer on February 15, offering viewers a glimpse into its reality-bending narrative. The film features an ensemble cast including Lee Min-Ho, Ahn Hyo-Seop, Chae Soo-Bin, Shin Seung-Ho, Nana, and marks the silver screen debut of Jisoo.

The story centers on Kim Dok Ja, portrayed by Ahn Hyo-Seop, who finds himself trapped in the world of a fantasy novel he’s been reading. Armed with knowledge of the novel’s events, Kim embarks on a mission to prevent the world’s destruction. Lee Min-Ho takes on the role of Yoo Joong Hyuk, the novel’s original protagonist.
The action-packed teaser begins with a pivotal scene where Kim reads, “The subway stopped in the middle of Dongho Bridge,” only to witness the same event unfold in reality moments later. The trailer showcases a dramatic sequence featuring the bridge’s collapse and Kim’s encounter with Yoo, leading to an intense confrontation where Yoo questions Kim’s identity.
Scheduled for theatrical release in July 2025, the film represents a significant project for its cast members. It follows Lee Min-Ho’s recent performance in the K-drama “When The Stars Gossip” and comes after Chae Soo-Bin’s successful run in “When The Phone Rings.” For Jisoo, this marks her second acting project, following her recent appearance in “Newtopia,” which released on February 7.
The film adaptation brings the popular web novel of the same name to life, promising viewers a blend of fantasy, action, and reality-bending narratives as its characters work together to prevent global catastrophe.
