With frontliners in Malaysia battling to bring the number of COVID-19 cases during the third phase of the Movement Control Order (MCO), Acer Malaysia is announcing the Predator Charity Challenge. This is joining in with other organizations who are working to help feed marginalized communities, as their situations become even more dire.
The Predator Charity Challenge will see up to a RM15,000 total cash prize pool to be donated to Pit Stop Community Cafe, a social enterprise that feeds the marginalized while giving them a sense of dignity and respect. The Pit Stop Community Cafe is found in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, their ultimate aim being to reach out to and reintegrate marginalized communities back into society through their food and services. They also rescue and repurpose food that might have otherwise gone to waste, as well as provide a platform for voluntarism.
The challenge will run for 3 days from 24 April to 26 April, featuring well-known live streamers Master Ramen, Chiko and Daddyhood to challenge themselves in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds throughout the competition and raise funds for the underprivileged. Acer Malaysia will be donating RM20 for every kill they get, and RM500 for every “Chicken Dinner” they achieve.
The public is also invited to join the challenge which you can do simply by tuning in to support the livestreamers. RM1 will be donated for every viewer tuned in during peak live views for a maximum of RM2,000 per day. The challenge Acer’s other previous efforts which focused on supporting frontliners in healthcare.
Up to 20% discount will be available on the Acer official online store as well as the Lazada official store. Promotion items include the Swift series laptops, Acer Nitro 5, Predator Helios 300, gaming desktops, monitors and projectors. Lazada users will also be able to enjoy additional discounts based on their minimum spending.
