The highly anticipated Pokémon TCG Showdown 2025 is set to captivate fans with an array of exciting events and exclusive merchandise, headlined by Pos Malaysia and the special edition Pokémon stamp collection. The event, taking place at Lalaport, marks a significant milestone in Southeast Asian postal history.

Starting February 21, collectors can pre-order the RM 99 stamp set, which showcases beloved Pokémon including Pikachu, Charizard, Blastoise, and Venusaur. The comprehensive collection includes 10 stamps, 4 postcards, a souvenir cover envelope, a Pokémon TCG fun pack, and a playmat, all housed in a collector’s folder. Pre-orders are available at the event venue, 90 Philatelic Bureaus, 13 General Post Offices nationwide, and online.


Fiona Liao, Group Chief Marketing, Communications & Sustainability Officer of Pos Malaysia, emphasizes the collection’s significance in bridging philatelic tradition with modern pop culture. The collaboration aims to create meaningful connections through stamp collecting while celebrating Pokémon’s global appeal.
The event features multiple attractions for fans of all ages. A dedicated pop-up store offers official merchandise, from plush toys to trading cards. Gaming enthusiasts can enjoy six Pokémon Ga-Olé machines, while TCG newcomers can benefit from tutorial sessions scheduled for February 21 and February 23.
Additionally, interactive experiences include a digital card pack opening station and various photo opportunities featuring life-sized Pokémon standees and an impressive display of 30 oversized Pokémon TCG cards standing approximately 140cm tall.
In addition, Pokemon licensed merchandise enhance the event’s appeal, with Ogawa presenting exclusive Pikachu and Lucario edition massage chairs, Spritzer offering Pokémon-themed water bottles with promotional rewards, and Shachihata providing customizable Pokémon stationery options.
Moreover, the weekend’s competitive schedule includes TCG Shop Team Battles, a U16 Tournament, Japan Champions Challenge, Expanded Format Battle, and special Pikachu Meet & Greet sessions. For stamp collectors, delivery options include free shipping for pre-orders made at the event, while other customers can choose between shipping or self-collection at Philatelic Bureaus starting March 27.
