Recently, we had the chance to join the Straw Hat crew through a special Media and Partners Day which aims to showcase the One Piece The Great Era of Piracy Exhibition Asia Tour at Pavilion Hall in Skytropolis Indoor Theme park, Resorts World Genting, Malaysia.
With an estimated RM5,000,000 investment, the tour promises to transport guests into the world of One Piece, where they will join the Straw Hat Crew on their most recent adventures through an exhibition that has 21 thematic zones and span 25,000 sq feet.
Resorts World Genting Senior Vice President, Aaron Soo was quoted saying:

The straw hat pirates have gotten to Malaysia and we are thrilled to open our doors to loyal and new fans alike.”
Benedict Wong, Group CEO of Ace Media Network also expressed his excitement over the upcoming exhibition by saying: “This exhibition is not just about showcasing the FRP, artwork, or merchandise. It’s about celebrating the spirit of One Piece and the values it represents – friendship, perseverance, and the courage to chase your dreams”
The tour took about 45-90 minutes and you can experience the journey of the Straw Hats through interactive exhibits, authentic pirate artifacts and engaging multimedia displays.
Catering to both long-time fans or those new to the world of One Piece, the 21 thematic zones are sure to entice everyone, but true One Piece fans will definitely not want to miss them as they include fan-favorite legendary Pirate King, Gol D. Roger as well as characters that are associated with Roger and his crew.
Important locations are also featured within these zones, one such zone include Skypiea which is where the Roger Pirates found the Poneglyphs that led them to the island of Laugh Tale which is the final destination for any pirate who wants to find the One Piece.
These zones will also include iconic events that took place in the One Piece world such as The Marineford Zone where the Battle of Marineford, a major conflict between the Marines and the Whitebeard Pirates that resulted in the deaths of several important characters and had major consequences for the One Piece world as a whole as well as the fandom.
Life-size FRP (fiber-reinforced plastic) sculptures of beloved One Piece characters such as Luffy, Katakuri, Yamato and many more are on display as well at the exhibition so fans can take photos with these iconic characters making the visit more memorable.
One of the zones will also include a 180-degree immersive interactive mini-theatre showcasing Luffy’s 25 years of adventures with the Straw Hat Crew which will truly take fans down a nostalgia trip. The exhibition will also feature the largest, brand-new 3D sculpture of the Onigashima raid, complete with breathtaking fights like the epic showdown between Luffy and Kaido. The sculpture is being unveiled for only the second time in the world, making it a must-see for all the fans.
Sail deeper into the One Piece World With AR Games
Ace Media Network are also including multi-sensory interactive augmented reality (AR) games in enhanced zones throughout the venue, the games are made to fully immerse visitors by bringing the exhibition to life through modern day technology.
Simply download the official app on your mobile phones and get ready to play! The app also provides a platform for fans to view their rankings and compare scores with friends in real-time to earn rewards.
The One Piece exhibition Malaysia will also feature mini carnival games for both adults and children, from classic games that are changed to match the One Piece theme like ring toss and balloon darts to new twists on old favorites as well.
There will also be limited edition merchandise available for sale, allowing visitors to take home official One Piece merchandise, as well as unique souvenirs exclusive to the exhibition.
The One Piece Exhibition The Great Era of Piracy Asia Tour in Malaysia will be available From March 23rd to May 8th, 2023 with operating hours from 10 am to 10 pm and promises to be an exciting event for One Piece fans and visitors of all ages.
