Out of nowhere, Nintendo announced the Nintendo Switch Lite, a new variant of its Switch console made to play Switch titles in handheld mode.
The console is scheduled for a launch on 20 September 2019 for USD 199.99 (MYR 824.26), where it will be available in colours of gray, yellow and turquoise. A separate screen protector and carrying case are also options you can consider getting too.
The biggest difference at a glance are the integrated controllers that are non-detachable and the smaller size. Absent are also the kickstand and video output support. All games in the existing Switch library that support handheld mode can be played, although there will be some restrictions.
A special Switch Lite Zacian and Zamazenta Edition will be sold by Nintendo alongside the release of Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield on 8 November 2019. Drop by the official Switch Lite page for a better idea.
