In what needs to be labelled as a series of US Presidents and their relationship with Guilty Gear, the internet is starting to suspect current President Joe Biden has been spending his off time competing in tournaments and winning.

The online scene for Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R has been dominated by one player in particular- who only goes by the name Joe Biden, with no other indications to the player’s identity.
As a goof, it looks like the fighting game’s community has just assumed that the Chipp Player kicking everyone’s butts with sick mixups was actually the current President of the United States- even tagging the official POTUS Twitter Account whenever they post their rankings.
“”Why do you even like fighting games” A Guilty Gear player named Joe Biden is currently sweeping every tournament he enters & nobody knows who he is so everyone just assumes he’s the POTUS”, writes one user, Monacht. “Man puts 2K out in neutral instead of our bank accounts and then disappears into the night”,
“Ain’t no way Joe Biden is sweeping the floor in a mf Guilty Gear tournament“, writes another user, Ricky.
Thank you to everyone who showed up and played in last night’s Guilty Gear Accent Core +R tournament! Good times, great vibes 🙏

All in all, this just looks like a well-lined-up joke by a very talented Guilty Gear player: considering the character Chipp is President of the Eastern Chipp Kingdom, dedicating your FGC career to tricking everyone into assuming you were the president of the United States seems like the kind of whimsy you’d expect out of the community.
It’s even funnier when you remember this isn’t the first run-in Guilty Gear fans have had with the White House: in the early 2000s then-President Bill Clinton demonized the game’s marketing tagline, and a portrait of the same President can also be found in Guilty Gear Strive’s Digital Figure Mode.
The White House has neither confirmed or denied the rumors.
