In a case of better late than never, the city of Takatsuki in the Osaka prefecture of Japan has honoured a THE iDOLM@STER primordial member Takatsuki Yayoi, by officially appointing her to be its tourism ambassador.
Long-time THE iDOLM@STER producer Sakagami Yozo accepted the honours with a letter from Tadayuki Kaneda, the representative director of the Takatsuki City Tourism Association. A courtesy visit was also paid to city mayor Takeshi Hamada.
To commemorate the occasion, a to-scale panel of Takatsuki Yayoi will be placed at the Ama Site Park to greet visitors. Also, ordering food from a designated menu at any of the two restaurants at the location will score you a neat coaster and placemat of Yayoi.
As Japan loves their limited goods, the Takatsuki City Tourism Association and Ama Site Park Park Office will be selling Yayoi-themed merchandise, namely clear files, can badges and an acrylic stand.
Furthermore, starting 20 January 2022, Yayoi will feature in the Takatsuki Tourism App, and serve as a tourism PR for Takatsuki City. By participating in the special stamp rally within the app, users can download a special wallpaper featuring Yayoi herself and the city’s mascot Hanitan.
Those are the only things planned by the tourism board for the time being, although it appears more is being planned. Updates will be posted accordingly on the official website.
