The GamerBraves Team Is Looking For Journalists and Video Editors!

Do you want to join Malaysia’s leading games media website? Well, you’re in luck! GamerBraves is hiring positions in our writing and video staff, so if you’re looking to either start a new chapter of your life or move up in the games industry this might be your lucky day.

The GamerBraves editorial team is hiring for two positions: Journalist (Full-time) as well as Video Editor (Full-time). Do note that these are paid positions, so don’t worry about things like paying your rent in exposure. You’ll need to be over 18 years of age, Malaysian and have regular, easy access to our office if you get the job.

GamerBraves is a prestigious Malaysia-based games news site, having been on the jury panel for The Game Awards for 3 years running and also the official media partner for multiple events like Level Up KL and Gamescom Asia, and we intend to maintain that pedigree- so if you’re the industry’s next rising star, then here’s what you’ll need to apply for the job:

Journalist (Full-Time)

Do you ever see a “fact” online that’s easily disprovable and tense up? Do you walk away from games with a million thoughts looking for a platform to share them on?

As a journalist at GamerBraves, your responsibilities will involve keeping up with the latest news, events and trends in the games industry. You’re expected to report with accuracy and minimal supervision, so be sure to bring your A-game as you carve your name into the games industry.

From the hottest events both local and international to interviews with some of the biggest names, this is the perfect job for those who are truly passionate about games, anime and all things pop culture.

Naturally, you will also be expected to be able to deliver work in a neat and timely manner, as well as maintain confidentiality on embargoed information.

Job Description:

• Must be over 18 years of age
• Have an interest in games, mobile games are a huge plus!
• Must have a good command of the English language and produce work free of typos and grammatical errors
• Moderate understanding of Adobe Photoshop or equivalent software
• Good time management and communication skills are a must.

Video Editor (Full-Time)

Do blocks of text make your head spin? Consider instead joining the GamerBraves Video Team, where you’ll be creating content across our various social media platforms.

You’ll need to have an understanding of what’s hot, what’s popular and apply your own personal spin to it. From game reviews to funny shorts to even shooting photos of the latest and greatest products, you’ll be expected to handle all of it by joining the video team.

Applicants will also be expected to be able to handle and implement feedback, as well as maintain a consistent quality of work within acceptable deadlines.

Job Description:

• Must be over 18 years of age
• Have a good command of the English language as well as an understanding of the games industry
• Have an understanding of YouTube, other social media trends
• Be proficient with Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects or any equivalent software
