The gaming industry’s premier awards ceremony, The Game Awards, has announced it will reveal its 2024 nominees on Monday, November 18 at 9 AM PT. The Game Awards will stream the announcement live on their official YouTube and Twitch channels, showcasing nominees across 29 categories including Game of the Year, Best Game Direction, Best Independent Game, Best Performance, and Best Adaptation.
Selected by a global jury comprising over 130 media publications and creator outlets, the Game Awards nominees represent the year’s most impactful achievements in gaming. Following the announcement, gaming enthusiasts can cast their votes through authenticated voting on thegameawards.com from November 18 until December 11 at 6 PM PT.
The main ceremony, marking The Game Awards’ 10th anniversary, will take place on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Attendees can expect world premiere announcements, trailers, and live performances by The Game Awards Orchestra under the direction of acclaimed conductor Lorne Balfe.
Last year’s show demonstrated the ceremony’s growing influence, achieving 118 million global livestreams, marking a 15% increase from 2022. The 2024 show will continue its digital-first approach, streaming freely across more than 30 digital video platforms globally, including China and South Korea. Accessibility features will include Audio Descriptive and ASL versions of the livestream on YouTube.
