On championship Sunday for the PMCO 2019 fall split global finals, James Yang – Director PUBG Mobile Global Esports (Tencent Games) announced plans for the future of PMCO in 2020!
He started off by mentioning the 50m+ hours viewed across platforms in 2019, for PUBG Mobile. The game is shown to be “mobilizing esports” with the hashtags #mobility #accessibility #lifestyle.
What you’re here for though is the PUBG Mobile Pro league for 2020. It’ll be kicking off in May and October 2020! Several stages were shown, from the amateur campus level, to the Pro and semi Pro levels, onwards the the Pro regional competitions, leagues and finally the championship.
The Pro league is country wide, featuring Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam
Regional ones will be in the Americas and South Asia.
As for the spring split, registrations will commence January 2020. The total prize pool will be a whopping 5M USD!
