The First Episode of Pokemon Evolutions has dropped on Youtube

The first episode of Pokemon Evolutions has dropped on Youtube. This episode is titled ‘The Champion’ and is centered around the Generation 8 Galar champion Leon.

The 7 minute short recounts the events at the end of the games, Pokemon Sword and Shield, as the Champion Leon faces off against the legendary Pokemon Eternatus right before you are supposed to have your champions league match with him.

In the end, though the player character comes in the save the day with some help from Leon’s younger brother Hop and the box art legendaries, Zacian and Zamazenta.

I will say it is kind of a shame that the characters don’t have British accents considering Galar is based in the UK. Oh well, it’s a fantasy world I suppose.

Pokemon Evolutions is a series of anthology shorts animating some of the most memorable moments from the Pokemon games. Each of the eight episodes will take place in one of the 8 mainline Pokemon game regions. The series is a continuation of sorts of Pokemon Generations which has a similar premise and was also uploaded to Youtube.

The next episode will come out on the 23rd of September. It’ll be called The Escplise and take place in the Alola region. They’re going backward in time and saving Kanto for last.
