Ubisoft recently announces the launch of Update 1.8 “Resistance” for Tom Clancy’s The Division and together with the new update, The Division Free Weekend will be made available across all platforms this weekend (7 – 10 December). Also, all Division owners will be able to access all of the DLC included in The Division’s Season Pass – Underground, Survival and Last Stand on 5 – 10 December.
As the largest free update thus far for The Division, Update 1.8 “Resistance” further expands the game map with a new area – West Side Pier. The update adds 2 new game modes too:
- Resistance (PvE mode) – The different factions are teaming up to fight against Division agents. Varied enemy NPCs continuously spawn in waves as up to 4 agents try to survive for as long as they can. Enemies drop resources, which you can use them to either set up defenses or extend the battlefield. You will need to cooperate and find the best strategy to complete as many waves as possible and to get greater rewards.
- Skirmish (PvP mode) – 2 teams of 4 players will compete against each other for the highest kills before the time expires. Teams earn points by eliminating enemy players.
Other than that, the new update features a new social hub, improvements to the Underground DLC, a revamp of the rogue mechanics as well as an optimization of the gear system. The update is now live for PS4, Xbox One and PC, while on this weekend you can enjoy the game for free. Your game progress during the free weekend will be saved so you can bring your progress to your purchased full game.
There is also a promotion event up to 70% during the Free Weekend, as The Division (normal price = 49.99USD) will be discounted to 15 USD (around RM61). For those who are interested, you can visit Uplay or the official site for more information.
