Netflix has confirmed that Studio Ghibli’s latest work, The Boy and the Heron, will be coming to Netflix.
A few months after the movie was in Malaysian theaters, Netflix announced that the critically acclaimed animated film by Hayao Miyazaki is coming to streaming platform.

As of writing, the official date for when The Boy and the Heron will be on Netflix has yet to be announced, so fans eager to relive the fantasy will have to be patient for more updates.

The Boy and the Heron, the latest film by Studio Ghibli is a hand-drawn, original fantasy adventure story written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki. This is also his first feature film in 10 years, with The Wind Rises, released in 2013, as his last previous work.
Inspired by Genzaburo Yoshino’s novel How Do You Live? The Boy and the Heron tells the story of Mahito, a young 12-year-old boy who struggles to settle in a new town after his mother’s death.
When the film was released, it was received with critical acclaim, with it grossing US$167.8 million worldwide. It also received multiple accolades worldwide, notably winning the animated feature category for the Academy Awards, British Academy Film Awards, and the Golden Globe Awards.
