The Binding Of Isaac developer Edmund McMillen uploaded a new trailer on YouTube for the series’ final expansion, The Binding of Isaac: Repentance.
Uploaded on New Year’s Day, the short 1-minute video showcases the various in-game items and a terrified Isaac on the verge of being stabbed. Ending on a cliffhanger, the trailer concludes by displaying the expansion’s launch date on Steam—31st March 2021.
Unfortunately, console gamers will have to wait as the release date outside of Steam was not announced. The only mention of a console release date is in the trailer’s description, where Edmund states that it will be later.
Repentance is the third and final expansion for The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. This expansion is based on a fan-made mod of Rebirth, called The Binding of Isaac: Antibirth. Edmund McMillen approached the mod’s creators to rework and redesign the mod into official DLC, which is Repentance.
