The Japanese Twitter account for The Alchemist Code has announced an unexpected new collaboration with fighting game series The King of Fighters.
In the recent livestream from Fuji and Gumi games, we can see the in-game animations of four crossover characters from The King of Fighters XIV. Terry Bogard, Iori Yagami, Mai Shiranui and Kula Diamond will appear in The Alchemist Code.

Having been around since 1994, The King of Fighters is a long-running fighting game franchise. The last major instalment in the franchise was The King of Fighters XIV, released for the PlayStation 4 in 2016. A Windows release found its way to computers in 2017.
During EVO 2019, SNK announced The King of Fighters XV with an official teaser. Currently, there is no fixed release date slated for the new entry. However, this collaboration with The Alchemist Code will definitely pique newfound interest towards the 26-year-old fighting game franchise.
The Alchemist Code has launched many collaborations in the past. Amongst its impressive list of previous collaborations include Attack on Titan, The Rising of the Shield Hero and Disgaea. Characters from these titles are available for a limited time during the run of their respective events.
While it is rare for a fighting game franchise like The King of Fighters to collaborate with a free to play mobile gacha game, we certainly welcome this unexpected crossover. The sky is limit for The Alchemist Code, which already had 10 different collaborations in the global version and many more in the Japanese version.
Fans of The King of Fighters should give The Alchemist Code a shot. This turn-based strategy role-playing game features a diverse roster of characters. Similar to classics like Final Fantasy Tactics and Tactics Ogre, characters can be further customised with the job/class system.
