Like many events this year, the Thailand Game Show 2020 could not make its original date of November 14th-15th. Instead, the show has been delayed to January 9th-10th, 2020. It will take place at Royal Paragon Hall.
The organizers announced this via several Facebook posts, all posted in Thai.
“Online Station under the True Group and the unlimited show company. Therefore, the organizers announced the postponement of the original date of November 14 to 15 2563 to the 9th – January 10, 2564 (Children’s Day)” the translated post reads.
Those who had previously bought tickets for the show when it was scheduled for November will not need to re-purchase new tickets, as they will still be valid for the show’s new dates.
The rescheduled show has been rebranded Thailand Game Show 2020 +1, and will feature several events such as a Cosplay stage, as well as a PS5 showcase.
Astro’s Playroom and Demon’s Souls will both be part of the PS5 showcase, which caps off each day’s events.
In addition, there will be a free Game Mart area, where attendees can purchase merchandise from brands such as Intel, WD Black and Lenovo Legion. Measures will be in place to reduce congestion in the area, such as an app-based queue system.
The organizers have also outlined their measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. These are all viewable on their website, but some of the main points include the banning of high risk individuals such as children and the elderly. Additionally, Cosplay Group Photos will also be disallowed at the venue.
