Bandai Namco Entertainment has unveiled more of the single player content coming to Tekken 8.
In today’s livestream, they showed off the two major components of single player in Tekken 8- the Story Mode and Arcade Quest.
For Story Mode, players will seamlessly transition between cutscenes and battles, with fights starting in-cutscene before going into gameplay.
While the Tekken 8 Story Mode will focus on in-universe characters, there’s also the Arcade Quest story mode, which has you playing as a customizable avatar in an arcade.
This mode will also teach you the basics of the game, with NPCs ready to show you how to do various features like Heat Mode and Power Crush.
Of course, that’s far from the only single player content- there’s also Tekken Ball, a mode that has you spiking a beach ball between two characters.
Rather than hitting each other directly, Tekken Ball will have the trajectory of the beach ball depend on the type of move used to hit it, with tools like Heat Mode also being available in the minigame.
Additionally, you’ll also be able to train against player ghosts, which are based on actual gameplay data.
All of these features were announced earlier this week alongside the upcoming Closed Beta Test set for October.
