FFVII: The First Soldier, the battle royale mobile game in the same universe as FFVII, has announced a release window for November 2021. Pre-registrations are planned to begin sometime this October, with updates to follow through their social media platforms. They’ve previewed a bunch of things to come for launch such as:
New style: NINJA! This style is focused on mobility! It utilizes a shuriken for melee combat and allows for some sneaky combat tactics It can turn invisible with its “Hide” ability and move in for covert attacks.
New “collection” feature! The piece exchange system that beta participants enjoyed, but bigger & better! Gather pieces from monsters, secret boxes, etc. and exchange them for items! Items available will be updated every season!
The tutorial is being revamped. It will be split into two parts: one that covers basic controls, and one that covers rules of battle and general gameplay flow.
TRAINING MODE IS A GO! You’ll be able to access a special training map to practice and experiment with various weapons, materia, and styles!
CONTROLLER SUPPORT IS A GO! Connect your phone to a monitor and it feels like you’re playing on a console! Play comfortably even if you’re not great with virtual pads!
Presumably there will be milestone rewards to encourage pre-registrations to come. Stay tuned for the FFVII: The First Soldier release window coming to you sometime November, just next month!
