The First Descendant, Nexon’s venture into the looter shooter genre with ladies in sci-fi suits, now has a release window.
During today’s The Game Awards 2023, a new cinematic trailer was showcased, revealing that The First Descendant has a target release window of Summer 2024, with no exact date unveiled.
The game is an upcoming free-to-play sci-fi looter shooter from Nexon, coming to the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC.
In the shooter title, you played as the titular Descendant, a cast of unique characters armed with distinct abilities as you control them to defend the planet from alien invaders called Colossi.
In the latest trailer, spotlights are placed on two of the game’s Descendants, namely Viessa and Valby.
A new Descendant was also seemingly shown off but no information was unveiled as to who he was.
Following a crossplay open beta period in September, which Nexon said to have amassed almost 2 million players, the developers promised to take on feedback and work on improvements for the full launch.
Some of the feedback and planned improvements are in the works including improved co-op play, matchmaking support for dungeon missions, more mission variety, graphical enhancement, and more.
