Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, a new Dragon Ball fighting game at The Game Awards.
While the game has no release date yet, the publisher has confirmed it will be launching on PS5, Xbox Series X|S as well as PC via Steam.
As a spiritual successor to the Budokai Tenkaichi series, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero features 3D arena combat, with characters teleporting to each other to deal and even counter-teleporting behind each other to do big damage.
They also showed off another major feature is the destructible environment, which reacts to your beam clashes and more in typical Dragon Ball fashion.
The trailer shows a variety of characters, with Vegeta and Goku being able to access their Super Saiyan Blue forms from Dragon Ball Super.
Classic villains from the Dragon Ball series were also shown in the trailer, with Frieza and Broly having their gameplay shown.
Additionally, the trailer also teases multiple other classic characters like Krillin, Tien and Android 18, as well as Mr Satan.
Dragon Ball games have always had a strong cult following, with the previously release Dragon Ball FighterZ maintaining a strong playerbase, enough to prompt the addition of rollback netcode years after the release.
