Monster Hunter Rise, the upcoming Nintendo Switch entry for the Monster Hunter franchise is getting a demo in January, 2021.
It was announced as the stinger for the latest trailer for Monster Hunter Rise, which showed off new monsters as well as the story for Rise.
While we don’t know about the details for the Monster Hunter Rise Demo , it’s safe to assume it’ll be a pre-set batch of monsters just like how they’ve done previous Monster Hunter demos. It’ll also be running for a limited time, so you won’t be able to use it for the whole two months until the full game’s release.
According to the trailer, Rise deals with the sudden oncoming stampede of monsters, which is the backdrop for the game’s story. It’s not that far off from both the plots of World and 4Ultimate, which dealt with strange monster behaviors.
With Magnamalos as the game’s flagship monster though, it’s left to fans to wonder if the monster is responsible for it.
While we don’t have names for the new monsters in the trailer, we do know they’re continuing the Yokai theme previous new monsters have had.
Monster Hunter Rise releases on Nintendo Switch March 26, 2021. Rather than a new generation of Monster Hunter, it acts as a mid-generation for the 5th Generation.
