Tencent Games’ Polaris Quest and Aurora Studio have unveiled a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming open-world survival crafting game, Light of Motiram, titled Outcast Forest.
During its first announcement, Light of Motiram has been drawn to comparisons with Horizon Zero Dawn due to its distinct similarities when it comes to the games mechanical creature designs and overall tribal aesthetics.
This trailer offers a glimpse into a haunting woodland where the Dariman Tribe banishes their convicts. The forest is teeming with hostile Mechanimals and echoes with the whispers of enemy tribes, creating an atmosphere filled with regret and fear.
In Light of Motiram, players will explore the eerie Outcast Forest, mastering combat with a variety of lethal weapons. The game challenges players to solve intricate puzzles within ancient sanctuaries and confront formidable Mech Overlords as they venture into the unknown.
The game features a dynamic building system rooted in real-world physics. Every structure must withstand environmental forces. With full creative freedom, players can build, adapt, and expand to survive.

When it comes to combat, players must time dodges, blocks, and counterattacks perfectly to survive deadly encounters. Choosing the right Mechanimal companion can drastically change the tide of battle, adding a strategic layer to every fight.
Players can also tame and train more than 100 Mechanimals, each with distinct abilities suited for battle or resource production. Customization options allow for tailored upgrades and exclusive traits, making every Mechanimal a powerful and personal ally.

Up to 10 players can join forces across platforms to explore, build, and battle together. Whether hunting massive machines or constructing shared bases, the world of Light of Motiram supports a smooth, cooperative experience anytime, anywhere.
Set to launch in 2025, Light of Motiram will be available on PlayStation 5, PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, as well as iOS and Android.
