Tekken 8 is getting a Closed Beta, letting players have a second go at the game ahead of its launch in January.
Announced today ahead of Tokyo Games Show, the Tekken 8 Closed Beta will feature several new characters, including the previously announced Azucena and Raven, as well as the newly revealed Feng Wei.
It’ll be available from October 20th to 23rd, on PS5, Xbox Series X as well as PC with cross play enabled.
Sign ups will be open from September 21st to October 11th.
The beta will also incorporate various feedback from the previous test, including changes to Power Crush, tweaks to the game’s signature Heat System as well as improvements to buffering movement inputs like the dash and backdash.
There will also be a host of other new features introduced in the Beta, such as the new Super Ghost Battle which lets you fight against ghost data of other players as well as Tekken Ball, the iconic minigame from previous games.
Additional Features
Aside from that, the test will also feature various new customization features- letting you dress up your avatar to roam the game’s multiplayer lobbies as well as customizing your titles.
Meanwhile, there will also be the option to choose between Ranked matches, Casual Matches as well as Group Matches, which will let you walk between arcade machines to challenge other players in a feature similar to Street Fighter 6’s Battle Hub.
