The Malaysia Qualifier Finals of the APAC Predator League Valorant tournament has just concluded and Team Todak has been crowned the champion and will be the Malaysian representative for the main event.
Team Todak, which consists of players fragile, kael, FrostyZ, jeed, and subbey, has defeated Team Path in an intense Best of Five (Bo5) format final, taking home a grand prize of RM 11,500 ($2,450 USD) and qualifying for the APAC Predator League 2024 as the representatives for Malaysia.
After a tug of war between Team Todak and Team Path, their battle dragged them into the final map of Fracture where both teams drafted an almost mirror match of Breach, Killjoy, Raze, and Brimstone, with the exception of different second Duelist picks – Jett for Team Path and Neon for Team Todak.
During the midway point of the match, Team Todak scored a leading 12-5 rounds against Team Path, only needing one more round to secure the spot of champion.
However, their opponents, Team Path, managed to stage a comeback and bring the match into Overtime.
After a few back and forth, Team Todak won 14-13 rounds against Team Path in Fracture and took 3-2 map victories in the Bo5 format.
Team Path, the 1st runner-up will be bringing home RM 6,900 ($1,470 USD) and Predator Gaming Chairs, while Team NEXGA, the third-placed winner won RM 4,600 ($1,044 USD) as well as the Predator Galea 350 Headphones.
The Asia-Pacific Predator League 2024 will take place in Manila, Phillippines from 13 January 2024, and Team Todak is now qualified and participating as the Malaysian representatives for the Valorant tournaments.
Aside from Valorant tournaments, the APAC Predator League 2024 also featured Dota 2 tournaments, in which Team MAG will be the Malaysian representative.
