As previously reported, Tales of Luminaria is a new IP from Bandai Namco Entertainment and is set to be a mobile release for the ‘Tales of’ franchise. In that same announcement, there was a short 55-second trailer shared which you can watch below:
Based on the short gameplay snippets from the trailer, Tales of Luminaria appears to adopt a vertical gameplay perspective on mobile. The game’s graphics in combat are also presented in 3D. The game also lets players use various characters, but whether it will be a gacha game like its predecessor Tales of Crestoria is still uncertain.
Little was known about the game apart from the fact that it was set to release on the Android and iOS platforms. In any case, come 23 September 2021, we will be getting our first official programming for the game in the form of a stream that will air on YouTube.
The developer will be showcasing its cast of characters, but no word if there will be anything else such as gameplay. Then again, with this being an RPG for the mobile, there should not be any drastic departure from the formula. There is no official release date either, but perhaps we will know soon enough. Follow the game on Twitter to learn more.
