We are given a glimpse into its multiplayer mode that will see players teaming up to beat powerful enemies. In this raid, you are to communicate with others using the in-game stamps system. As you might expect, everyone has to contribute in dealing damage, with rewards being distributed evenly and moreso for people who those who hits the hardest.
Reiterating what we already know so far, Tales of Crestoria tells the tale of Kanata, a boy who has to bear the sins of a crime he can never atone for. Along with his fellow transgressors, the party head on a journey to defy the rules of the world. Players will follow the cast on their journey in exploring the world. The story is being penned by Jun Kumagai, credited for the script for Persona 3 The Movie,. Wit Studio meanwhile handles all the animated cutscenes. Combat will be turn-based, making this entry the first in the franchise to adopt it. Familiar mechanics such as Mystic Artes make a return, among other things.
It is worth noting that this will be the first game in the Tales of franchise to have a worldwide launch simultaneously. That said, there is an open beta test scheduled in early May 2020, so everyone will be able get a small taste of the game before it goes live. At the moment, the English version of the game is open for pre-registration, so be sure to sign up right now for the usual early bird rewards.
