Available through the BiliBili website, Tale of Food has officially started the game’s closed beta testing for the Japan servers.
Tale of Food is originally a chinese-made mobile Otome game where players can go on an adventure with different personifications of Chinese cuisines/ Players can also develop a romantic relationship with the characters they love the most.
The game was initially titled Shoku Monogatari, the original Chinese release of the game uses Chinese voice actors for the game characters but the Japan version of the game will be featuring Japanese voice actors instead.
While the game already has regional servers for both Singapore as well as Malaysia, the possibility of a global release for Tale of Food will not be farfetched.
The current amount of pre-registration has achieved at least 20,000 users so the highest milestone of 30,000 users won’t be too far off from achieving the last milestone where players will be able to receive the “Shrimp Cilli” character.
The Tale of Food closed beta testing for Japan will be running from 25th September onwards till 3rd October 23:59 [JST] for 3,000 players, 1500 of them for Android users and the other half of the users for iOS. Although the data from the closed beta test will not be carried over to the full game when it releases, and in-app purchases won’t be available.
