takt op. Symphony
As mentioned previously, takt op Symphony is part of a mixed-media project by Bandai Namco Arts and DeNA, which expands to an anime series by MAPPA and Madhouse titled Takt Op. Destiny in 2021.
The mobile game itself was first announced on 26th March 2021 and scheduled to be released in the same year but was delayed until 2022, then again until June 2023.
The world of takt op is based heavily on classical music, represented by anime girls known as Musicarts.
In this world, which is set in the year 2047, music cannot be played freely as it would attract monsters known as D2s, and the Symphonica International Organization and the Musicarts had to join forces to combat the alien creatures.
According to mobile app analyst AppMagic, takt op Symphony has amassed a total revenue of over $6 million USD in its lifespan
The highest peak in revenue was during the game’s launch, which saw an earning of more than $190 thousand, but its performance had a huge drop between July and August of 2023.
As of writing, the game has accumulated more than 2 million downloads.
