Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, 2K Games and Private Division has confirmed that 3 new remasters are on the way.
Previously, Take-Two Interactive revealed that there are a total of six remasters, remakes or upgraded versions of their games. Amongst them, the 3 that were confirmed are Grand Theft Auto V: Expanded and Enhanced, Grand Theft Auto Online standalone version and Kerbal Space Program, all of which are aimed at current-gen consoles.
All 3 aforementioned titles are expected to release later this year, with both Grand Theft Auto titles to launch on November 11. Currently, the Kerbal Space Program remaster does not have an exact release date.
As for the remaining 3 titles that remain unconfirmed, fans could only speculate in the meantime. It is widely believed that fellow Rockstar title Red Dead Redemption 2 would follow in the footsteps of Grand Theft Auto V and get an enhanced version for current-gen consoles.
Besides that, there are a lot of great franchises and games under the belts of Take-Two Interactive’s child companies. From BioShock to Max Payne, only time will tell which series will get the same treatment and receive a remaster.
