Takashi Iizuka – Sonic Team Studio Head has shot down all hopes on Chao Garden making a return in the upcoming Sonic Frontiers game.

Chao Garden is considered to be one of the most requested mode in the Sonic Franchise of games, and it’s disheartening to hear that the game mode wont be in Sonic Frontiers as confirmed by Takashi Iizuka.
The full context of the twitter clip can be found during a rapid-fire Q&A session by Game Informer, Takashi Iizuka has denied that the Chao Garden mode will make a return in the upcoming Sonic title despite knowing that it is one of the most fan-anticipated feature.
At the 0:25 minute mark of the video where the Interviewer asked Takashi “What is the most common request you get from fans”, to which Takashi replies with “Chao Garden”.
It was later in the interview on the 4:50 where the question “Is there a Chao Garden in this game?” and it was answered with a simple “no”.
What is Chao Garden?
The Chao Garden is a side mode where players get to raise these creatures called the Chao who were previously the guardians of the Master Emerald.
This game mode has won the hearts over the fans of the franchise with what is essentially just a child-raising simulator due to the sheer cuteness of these little creatures.
