Those who have ever been to an arcade will likely see Taiko no Tatsujin on some of the machines. Players use two bachi sticks to beat the drum based on the notes that appear on the screen. The game is heavily based on Japan’s rich tradition of Taiko drumming.
On Tik Tok, however, users will tap on their screens instead of using bachi sticks. “Todoroki! Taiko no Tatsujin”, the 20th Anniversary song for the franchise will be playable on Tik Tok. Simply search 太鼓の達人#TikTokでゲーム中 on the video-sharing platform to try the song out.
Besides, Bandai Namco also announced other news for the franchise as part of its anniversary celebration. Next year, on 20th February, the franchise will organise Taiko no Tatsujin World Championship, a competition to determine the best player in the world.
In addition, the series will launch its own YouTube channel in the future. Those who own a PS4 or Switch can also get the game on sale on their respective consoles.
